PreparedBC, Emergency Management BC is working to engage the public to better understand household & neighbourhood preparedness and have created a survey that will provide baseline data so Emergency Management BC can tailor resources to better meet the needs of British Columbians.

Barriere Emergency Room Hours Change
As of Aug. 31, the Emergency Room and Health Centre will operate Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding statutory holidays.

Wastewater Connection Permit
For (only) those owner's of property that will be hooking into the new downtown core wastewater system, a Wastewater Connection Permit is required. There is NO FEE payable to the District in order to obtain this required permit. If you have any questions about this permit, or are unsure if your property is subject to this requirement, contact the District office at (250) 672-9751.
