Events and Notices

Campfire Ban Effective July 3, 2015 

Effective at noon on Friday, July 3, 2015, all open fires - including campfires - will be prohibited throughout the entire Kamloops Fire Centre. This prohibition will remain in place until the public is otherwise notified.

Westsyde Road will be Closed 500 m north of McLure Ferry Road to the top of the gravel portion of the hill just north of the McLureFerry.   Southbound traffic from Barriere’s last turnaround point, if hauling a trailer, will be Fishtrap Bridge, 12.5 km south of Barriere.  The road will be closed from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, from July 6th to July 16th, inclusive.  Please use an alternate route. Argo Road Maintenance (Thompson) Inc. apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Odd numbered houses can water on odd days.
Even numbered houses can water on even days
between the hours of 6am - 10am and 6pm - 10pm.

Wastewater Connection Permit 
For (only) those owner's of property that will be hooking into the new downtown core wastewater system, a Wastewater Connection Permit is required. There is NO FEE payable to the District in order to obtain this required permit.  If you have any questions about this permit, or are unsure if your property is subject to this requirement, contact the District office at (250) 672-9751.
